Solid showing despite defeat
Duranville recorded two shots (one on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Monday's 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.
Analysis: Duranville was one of Lyon's more dangerous attacking outlets, forcing Matvey Safonov into an important save in the 31st minute as Lyon attempted to respond to PSG's early pressure. The winger has now started each of Lyon's last two Ligue 1 matches after previously spending several fixtures on the bench without seeing playing time. His dribbling ability and willingness to take on defenders provide Lyon with a different attacking dimension, although he continues to face competition from Keito Nakamura for the starting role on the left wing.
Returns to squad
Duranville is back in the squad for Wednesday's Europa League opener against Anderlecht after recently returning to full training following an undisclosed issue.
Analysis: Duranville is available for competitive action again after muscular fatigue kept him out of the previous four matches against Fenerbahce, Le Havre, Auxerre and Paris FC. The winger has now progressed from full training to a place in the matchday squad, though his minutes could initially be managed following the absence. Duranville should compete with Pavel Sulc and Keito Nakamura for playing time on the left wing.
