Julien Duranville

Joins Lyon through 2031

Duranville signed with Olympique Lyonnais from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract through June 2031, the club announced.

Analysis: Duranville came through the Anderlecht academy from the age of seven before making his professional debut against Club Bruges in 2022 at just 16 years old, making 11 appearances before joining Borussia Dortmund in the January 2023 transfer window. With the German club he made 27 appearances, gained Champions League experience and earned his first two senior caps for Belgium in September 2024 during Nations League matches against Israel and France. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Basel, making 17 appearances and scoring two goals while demonstrating his directness and dribbling quality. The 20-year-old Belgian winger arrives at Lyon with significant room for further development, and will reunite with compatriots Malick Fofana and Orel Mangala at the club.
