Two shots in first league start
Alajbegovic recorded two shots (zero on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus AC Milan.
Analysis: Alajbegovic made his first league start for Juventus after his summer move from Leverkusen, called upon on the left where he and Jeremie Boga have been trying to compensate for Kenan Yildiz (foot). The winger took two shots and delivered two crosses, but there was nothing to show for it in the end and he was withdrawn before Federico Gatti rescued a point in stoppage time.

Alajbegovic has completed a permanent move from Bayer Leverkusen to Juventus.
Analysis: Alajbegovic broke out at RB Salzburg last season, totaling nine goals and three assists in 28 domestic matches and scoring twice, assisting once and recording 17 shots (five on target), five chances created, and 22 crosses (four accurate) in seven UEFA Europa League tilts. He also showed well in the World Cup. He's expected to play both as a no.10 and as a left winger at Juventus, rotating with Weston McKennie, Kenan Yildiz and Douglas Luiz.
Returning to Leverkusen
Leverkusen have executed their buy-back clause to re-sign Alajbegovic from Red Bull Salzburg on a five-year contract.
Analysis: Alajbegovic had a strong 2025/26 season at RB Salzburg and impressed with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, so Leverkusen have decided to bring him back using the buy-back clause in the deal that sent the playmaker to the Austrian club in the summer of 2025. He registered 13 goals and four assists across 44 appearances in all competitions for Salzburg last season.

Analysis: Alajbegović showed flashes of why he is considered one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's brightest young talents, but the 18-year-old found opportunities difficult to come by in the 2-0 defeat to the United States. Starting alongside veteran Edin Dzeko in attack, Alajbegović was often isolated as Bosnia spent much of the match defending deep against sustained American pressure. For an 18-year-old making his World Cup debut, Alajbegović exceeded expectations. He combined confidence, creativity, and composure throughout the tournament, establishing himself as one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's cornerstones for the future and one of the competition's most exciting young breakout players.

Analysis: Alajbegovic got on the scoresheet during Wednesday's comfortable win over Qatar. The attacker was solid throughout the match and made the most of his chances against Qatar. He will hope to build on that form heading into the knockout stage, which will almost certainly be a much tougher match.

Analysis: Alajbegovic earned his first start in World Cup play Thursday after a bench appearance in his last outing, as the attacker started on the left flank. He would fail to see a shot on net but did still earn some decent contribution, notching five crosses and two chances created. With their World Cup life on the line in the next match, it is unknown if the young 18-year-old will receive the start again.
