Makes Malaga debut
Aznou generated one shot (zero on goal) in Friday's 1-1 draw versus Espanyol. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 89th minute.
Analysis: Aznou made his Malaga debut in a draw against Espanyol, coming on at left-back for the final 28 minutes and recording one shot and two tackles. The Everton loanee faces competition for his position from Jose Salinas and Rafita Garrido, but his first appearance gives him an opportunity to build on that performance and strengthen his case for a more prominent role in the team.
Likely to start against Espanyol
Aznou (undisclosed) is expected to make his Malaga debut and could start at left back in Friday's clash against Espanyol after recovering from his recent fitness issues, coach Juanfran Funes confirmed, per La Grada.
Analysis: Aznou appears to have fully recovered from the physical problems that delayed his competitive debut, having recently returned to action during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Cordoba. The left-back is now firmly in contention for Friday's matchup, with coach Funes indicating that he's likely to make his first appearance for the club. His return provides Malaga with another option on the left side of defense, and he could immediately step into the starting XI after building up his fitness during the international break.
