Nets first goal of season
Moerstedt scored a goal with his lone shot during Sunday's 3-0 win over Leverkusen.
Analysis: Moerstedt entered the match in the 84th minute and scored Hoffenheim's final goal in the 91st. The goal was the first this season for the forward as he's combined for two goal involvements, a shot and two chances created over his last three appearances.
Provides assist in loss
Moerstedt assisted once to go with zero corners and two chances created in Sunday's 3-1 loss to SC Paderborn.
Analysis: Moerstedt delivered the assist on Adam Daghim's 50th minute goal, setting up the finish that reduced the deficit to 2-1, and created two additional chances across 62 minutes before being replaced by Tim Lemperle. He registered zero shots but was Hoffenheim's most creative presence in the second half before his withdrawal. Moerstedt now has one assist from three Bundesliga appearances this season.
Has penalty saved in loss
Moerstedt had three shots (two on goal) in Saturday's 3-2 defeat against 1. FC Koln. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 94th minute.
Analysis: Moerstedt replaced Adam Hlozek in the 53rd minute of Saturday's season opener, and just four minutes later found himself at the penalty spot. He clearly was not warm enough yet as his penalty attempt was saved by Marvin Schwabe, a brutal missed opportunity for him. It was one of three shots he took in his 37 minutes off the bench.
