Misses Palace clash

Fernandez-Pardo (illness) has been left out of Newcastle's matchday squad for Sunday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace after struggling with health issues throughout the week.

Analysis: Fernandez-Pardo was unable to recover in time for Sunday's encounter after being limited to partial team training due to illness. The winger had started Newcastle's previous four Premier League matches without registering a goal or an assist, establishing himself as a regular option in the attacking rotation. Jacob Murphy has been selected to start on the wing in his absence, while Fernandez-Pardo's availability for Newcastle's next fixture will depend on his recovery in the coming days.

Hoping to feature Sunday

Fernandez-Pardo (illness) is questionable for Sunday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace after being limited to partial team training due to ongoing health issues, according to coach Matthias Jaissle, per Chronicle Live. "Matias has still some issues health wise so he can only train partially and hopefully he can make it at the weekend."

Analysis: Fernandez-Pardo continues to deal with health issues that have prevented him from participating fully in team training, leaving his availability for Sunday's clash against Crystal Palace uncertain. The winger has started Newcastle's last four Premier League matches but has failed to register a goal or an assist during that stretch. His recent involvement has established him as a regular option in Newcastle's attacking lineup, although his fitness concerns could interrupt that run. Bazoumana Toure could replace him in the starting XI if Fernandez-Pardo is unable to feature, with his status dependent on further assessment ahead of the weekend.
