Avoids injuries

Njie (tests) didn't require tests and has been training regularly, as he bowed out because of cramps in the past match, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported.

Analysis: Njie escaped without a strain or other potential muscular injuries and should be able to participate in the upcoming friendlies during the break already. He'll face more competition in the next few matches, as the other wingers were brought in later and have less Serie A experience.

Limps off against Napoli

Njie had two shots (zero on goal) and two chances created in 80 minutes in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Napoli before exiting due to a possible thigh injury, Gianluca DI Marzio reported.

Analysis: Nije had an okay but not superb offensive performance and departed ten minutes before the end of the game, holding the back of his thigh. He'll soon take tests to see whether he's dealing with an ailment or something more serious. Fiorentina will play the next game on October 10. Wilfried Gnonto and Pedro Goncalves are the alternatives in his role.

Produces in Venezia fixture

Njie registered three shots (two on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and three chances created and won two of three tackles in Friday's 4-2 win over Venezia

Analysis: Njie stayed in the XI after an early coaching chance and was very lively, putting up stats across the board, but he wasn't directly involved in any of the four goals. He faces competition from the more experienced Wilfried Gnonto and Pedro Goncalves, but he has already worked with the new gaffer at Torino. He has notched one shot, totaling five (three on target), one key pass, accumulating seven, and one cross, piling up five (two accurate), in three displays on the trot.

Heads to Fiorentina

Njie is moving to Fiorentina on loan with a conditional obligation to buy from Torino.

Analysis: Njie showed promise but has never been a full-time starter for Torino, scoring twice, assisting once and tallying 16 shots (eight on target), eight chances created and 12 crosses (two accurate) in 32 appearances (two starts) in recent campaigns. He could have a pretty big role if Albert Gudmundsson departs in the next few days, as rumored.
