Undergoes surgery
Furo underwent surgery after picking up an injury in recent days, according to coach Keith Andrews. "Furo had surgery this morning after picking up an injury in the last few days. I'm not sure how long he's going to be out for but we'll obviously look after him and get him back to a good place."
Analysis: Furo has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season but was expected to start the EFL Cup clash against Reading before suffering the injury. The planned start would have represented his first competitive opportunity of the campaign, but the surgery will instead keep him sidelined for an unspecified period, with manager Keith Andrews providing no timetable for his return.
Makes Premier League debut
Furo made his first Premier League appearance during Saturday's 3-0 win over West Ham United, marking a significant milestone in the young forward's development at Brentford.
Analysis: Furo's debut appearance is a reward for his progress through the ranks and gives coach Keith Andrews another option to call upon in the final fixtures of the season for the Bees. The club will hope the experience of getting his first top-flight minutes can serve as a platform for him to build on heading into the 2026/27 campaign.
