Alessandro Romano
Creates chance in loss
Romano generated one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and five corners in Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Inter Milan.
Analysis: Romano was unable to repeat his scoring contribution from the opening match but remained involved creatively, taking five corners while creating one chance. The midfielder has scored one goal through his first two Serie A appearances of the season, and his involvement on set pieces gives him another avenue to generate attacking production even when he isn't finding the net.
Strikes in club debut
Romano scored a goal while taking two shots (both on goal), crossing once inaccurately, creating a chance and making four tackles (winning all four) during Saturday's 1-0 win over Parma.
Analysis: Romano claimed all three points in the 79th minute while leading Cagliari in tackles during his team debut. The goal was the first in Serie A for the 19-year old and a great start to life at Cagliari after making a move from Roma in July.
Heads to Cagliari
Romano has joined Cagliari on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy from Roma.
Analysis: Romano recorded one assist in 19 appearances with Spezia from January on last season. He'll bolster the midfield, primarily with defensive-minded duties, following the departures of Michael Folorunsho and Luca Mazzitelli.
