Signs with Monaco

Sane completed a transfer from Metz to Monaco and signed a five-year contract through June 2031, the club announced.

Analysis: Sane arrives after establishing himself as a regular contributor for Metz, where he made 71 appearances, scored four goals and added one assist across all competitions. The 22-year-old center-back developed through the renowned Generation Foot academy before moving to France in 2023 and quickly earning opportunities at the professional level. Known for his defensive solidity, athleticism and ability to play out from the back, Sane has already gained valuable Ligue 1 experience despite his young age. He will now look to continue his development and compete for minutes in Monaco's defensive rotation.
