Signs five year deal with Brentford

Diouf has completed a permanent transfer to Brentford from West Ham United, signing a five year contract with a club option for a further year, according to the club. Head coach Keith Andrews said "We're really pleased that we were able to sign Malick, he's a player that fits our ideal age profile, with lots of room to still develop."

Analysis: Diouf registered five assists in 32 Premier League appearances during his debut season in England last year after joining West Ham, having previously starred at Slavia Prague with seven goals and three assists in 27 league appearances as the club won the Czech First League title. The 21 year old Senegal international has featured at both the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and this summer's World Cup, and now begins the next chapter of his career at Brentford.

Struggles against Norway

Diouf recorded three crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Monday's 3-2 defeat against Norway.

Analysis: Diouf recorded only a few crosses and clearances before leaving his place on the field to Ismail Jakobs in the 54th minute of the game. Despite taking corner kicks, the West Ham defender has yet to get directly involved in a goal throughout the international tournament. He'll have one last chance to find his best form as Senegal plays its las card in search of an unlikely qualification against Iraq.
