Signs with Crystal Palace
Gozo signed a five-year deal with Crystal Palace from MLS club Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Gozo burst onto the scene a year ago in Salt Lake where had compiled four goals and three assists as an 18 year old. Now 19, he still figures to compete mostly with the Palace youth team in the upcoming season, but if things work out, he could find senior minutes quick. There's a chance he could serve as a backup on the right wing or in one of the attacking role. Either way, he's a player with a bright future for Palace.
Questionable with hip concern
Gozo was listed as questionable for Saturday's contest versus St. Louis City because of a hip issue, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Gozo is RSL's most outstanding young player, having posted six goals and four assists across 16 league appearances in 2026, and his hip issue could force the team to a change in the usual starting lineup. Hip issues require careful management to prevent them from becoming persistent problems. However, his final status remains a game-time decision. If Gozo is forced to miss action, Zach Booth would be an alternative on the right flank of a 3-4-3 system.
Assists against Minnesota
Gozo had an assist with his lone chance created while taking three off target shots and making five tackles (winning three) during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Minnesota.
Analysis: Gozo set up Zachary Booth in the 22nd minute while leading RSL in shots, chances created and tackles during the draw. The assist was the first since April 19th for Gozo as he's been in excellent form with four goal involvements, 12 shots and three chances created over his last three appearances.
Scores goal versus Rapids
Gozo scored one goal to go with six shots (three on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 win versus Colorado Rapids. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 81st minute.
Analysis: Gozo found the back of the net from inside the box in the 36th minute of a solid outing on the left flank. The youngster extended an impressive run of form after scoring a brace in his previous game, having made a huge offensive impact with 16 shots (10 on goal), nine crosses (one accurate) and four goals over his most recent four starts. He's also the team's joint top scorer in league play thanks to his six goals in 2026. Despite opening the campaign as a wing-back, he's now playing closer to the opposition goal and should retain high upside if that remains the case in future contests.
Records brace
Gozo scored two goals to go with three shots (two on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Wednesday's 3-0 win versus Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: The brace marks Gozo's first this season, meaning his season-high goals have been updated. Gozo both has five goals across 2026 and already scored more goals this year than the last.
Nets opener
Gozo scored one goal to go with seven shots (five on goal) and two crosses (one accurate) in Saturday's 2-0 victory versus Portland Timbers.
Analysis: Gozo scored with a great first-time shot, assisted by Sergi Solans in the 10th minute. He completed 24 passes and made a clearance. So far this campaign, Gozo has featured in 10 matches and recorded four goal contributions in his last five games.
Four shots for loss
Gozo had four shots (one on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 2-0 loss versus Inter Miami CF.
Analysis: Gozo took four shots and created a chance during Wednesday's loss. He had decent volume throughout the match but just couldn't seem to get much done in the final third. The forward will hope to be more efficient in the coming weeks especially against some top opponents.
