Mathys Niflore
Out Friday with minor injury
Niflore is not in the squad and was replaced on the bench by Theo Collin for Friday's match at Le Mans after picking up a minor injury, per Les Violets.
Analysis: Niflore has been left out of the squad for Le Mans because of a slight injury, and Theo Collin steps in as the backup to Guillaume Restes. With Restes in goal, the absence carries little impact for Toulouse, and Niflore could be back on the bench once he recovers.
One save in 2-2 draw
Niflore had one save and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Lorient.
Analysis: Niflore made one save but conceded two goals. It was the first occasion this season that the 19-year-old conceded two goals. Niflore's next assignment will be against Le Havre.
Extends contract with Toulouse
Niflore has signed a contract extension with Toulouse FC, according to the club.
Analysis: Niflore made 26 appearances on loan at USL Dunkerque in Ligue 2 last season, keeping six clean sheets and earning a spot in the league's team of the week for matchday 22, and is regarded as the youngest starting goalkeeper across Europe's five major leagues including the second divisions. He has represented France at every level from U16 to U19 and was a finalist with the U17s at both the 2023 European Championship and World Cup. Having signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2024, the new extension ties him to Toulouse for the long term as he continues his development as one of the club's key goalkeeping prospects.
Back in Toulouse
Niflore will return to parent club Toulouse following the conclusion of his loan spell at Dunkerque.
Analysis: Niflore made 26 Ligue 2 starts across 2,297 minutes, recording 30 saves and keeping five clean sheets while conceding an impressive total throughout the campaign. Niflore now heads back to Toulouse where his development will continue to be assessed heading into the 2026/27 season.
