Vaz joined Hull City on a season-long loan deal from AS Roma on Tuesday.
Analysis: The Tigers were looking to sign a striker before the end of the summer transfer window, and they acquired their name by signing Vaz on a season-long loan deal. The 19-year-old Frenchman scored just one goal in the 2025/26 campaign, however, so it remains to be seen how effective he'll be at the EPL level.
Recovers from knee issue
Vaz (knee) came off the bench in Sunday's friendly versus Cardiff City.
Analysis: Vaz tweaked his knee earlier in the summer but has been able to recuperate fairly quickly. It remains to be seen whether he'll stay at the club or go out on loan following the arrival of Santiago Castro to join Donyell Malen up front.
Suffers knee injury
Vaz will be sidelined for a few weeks because of a right MCL sprain, Corriere dello Sport informed.
Analysis: Vaz might be able to recover in time for the Serie A opener in late August, but he'll have to sit out a good chunk of the pre-season preparation, putting his status for at least the first couple of games in question. He only appeared off the bench last season while deputizing Donyell Malen, scoring once in 14 showings.
