NewcastleSigns five year deal with Newcastle
Bamba signed a five year contract with Newcastle United from Monaco, according to the club. "Aladji adds depth and a range of qualities to our midfield options, with huge potential for growth," Head coach Eddie Howe said.
Analysis: Bamba made 25 appearances in all competitions for Monaco last season, including five in the Champions League, and made his first team debut in 2025 after signing professional terms the year before, having come through Monaco's academy following a decade at Blois. The 20 year old, who has represented France at U20 level and helped the country win last summer's Maurice Revello tournament, is a nominee for this year's European Golden Boy award, and will wear the number 8 shirt as he begins the next chapter of his career in the Premier League.

Bamba assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and three chances created in Sunday's 5-4 loss versus Strasbourg.
Analysis: Bamba assisted Ansu Fati's strike just before halftime Sunday, one of three chances he created after he replaced the injured Thilo Kehrer (undisclosed) in the 21st minute. It was a nice end to the teenager's first senior campaign where he recorded two assists across 18 appearances (10 starts). After a season gaining experience, he could be a more regular member of the starting XI next campaign.
