Whips in five crosses
Luque generated one shot (one on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 5-0 loss to Celta Vigo.
Analysis: Luque had a decent outing despite the rough loss Saturday, with the attacker notching five crosses and a chance created. This was his first start since joining the club, only appearing off the bench in their previous two outings. That said, he remains without a goal contribution.
Transfers to Racing Santander
Luque completed a transfer from Atletico Madrid to Racing Santander on Monday.
Analysis: Luque was always heralded as an interesting prospect in Atletico Madrid ranks, but he didn't have enough space to play regularly for Los Colchoneros. He should see more time at Racing, though it's unclear whether he'll move into the XI right away.
First La Liga goal
Luque scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Valencia.
Analysis: Luque made his first ever La Liga appearance Saturday, entering the fray with just 27 minutes remaining in what would be a 2-0 Atletico Madrid victory at Valencia. The Atletico Madrid academy product scored the fixture's opening goal rattled off three shot attempts (two on goal). In his time with the youth academy, Luque scored four goals across 59 appearances with the Atleti reserve team, Atletico Madrileno.
