Ibrahim Mbaye
Mbaye assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 win over Manchester City.
Analysis: Despite not starting right off the bat, Mbaye played an important role in securing the three points for Aston Villa against Manchester City. The Senegalese winger was brought on in the 59th minute and quickly made the pass that led to Nicolas Jackson's winning goal. While only spending 31 minutes on the pitch, he went on to create a chance and also had a touch in the opposition box.
Back to back assists in UCL
Mbaye assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), four crosses (two accurate) and three corners in Wednesday's 3-1 victory versus Viking FK.
Analysis: Mbaye has now assisted in both of his Champions League starts for Villa after his corner set up Ross Barkley's opener in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Viking. The winger took the corners on his side and was a steady source of delivery with four crosses, two chances created and a shot on target. The teenager was less effective in his individual battles with two duels won from nine and one successful dribble from four. He has started both of Villa's last two European games but is still without a start in the Premier League.
