Demoted to reserve team
Abdallah has been demoted to Marseille's Pro 2 squad until further notice following a disciplinary decision by coach Bruno Genesio after his substitute appearance against Le Havre on Sunday, according to La Minute OM.
Analysis: Abdallah faces an uncertain future in Marseille's first-team rotation after reportedly being sanctioned by manager Bruno Genesio following his involvement against Le Havre. The young forward has been reassigned to the club's reserve squad indefinitely, representing a significant setback after emerging as one of Marseille's most promising academy players and a leading candidate for increased first-team minutes this season. Abdallah has made 11 appearances across Ligue 1 and the Europa League, contributing two goals, 18 shots (five on target), seven chances created and 32 crosses. His demotion is due to his performance off bench during the Le Havre clash and no timetable has been established for his reintegration into the senior squad, and his future involvement will depend on when coach Genesio decides to recall him.
Available against Angers
Abdallah (undisclosed) is available for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash against Angers after being forced off during Thursday's Europa League defeat against Olympiakos, according to coach Bruno Genesio. "Everyone is available, we will see for Pierre."
Analysis: Abdallah appears to have avoided a significant injury after leaving Thursday's 1-0 defeat against Olympiakos in the 80th minute due to apparent physical discomfort. The young attacker has made eight appearances across Ligue 1 and the Europa League this season, contributing two goals, 13 shots (five on target), four chances created and 23 crosses. He has started two of his last four appearances across all competitions, suggesting an increasingly important role in Marseille's attacking rotation. Abdallah should remain an option for coach Bruno Genesio, although his starting status remains uncertain.
