Axel Tape

Tape featured in all three of France U20s' matches during the international window, most recently coming off the bench in the 65th minute of a 3-0 loss to Italy, according to the club.

Analysis: Tape completed an active international window after starting against Germany, playing the second half against England and logging around 25 minutes against Italy. Those appearances provided valuable match action for the midfielder, who has yet to play a competitive minute for Levante since joining on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. Tape will now return to club training and look to push for his Levante debut ahead of the upcoming clash against Sevilla.

Joins Levante on loan

Tape has joined Levante on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Analysis: Tape heads to Levante in search of increased first-team opportunities after gaining senior experience with both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen. The 19-year-old midfielder made six Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen and also gained experience in the Champions League following his move to Germany. His technical ability, versatility and experience at a high level despite his young age should provide Levante with another option in midfield, while the loan gives Tape an opportunity to earn more consistent senior minutes throughout the campaign.
