Inks extension through 2029

Gernigon signed a one year contract extension with Angers SCO through June 2029, according to the club.

Analysis: Gernigon joined Angers at just six years old and has progressed through the club's academy, breaking into the professional group last season and signing his first professional contract in December 2025. The 16 year old center back is currently taking part in preseason training under new coach Stephane Gilli and has already played 45 minutes in the club's first friendly against Les Herbiers, giving an early look at his path toward regular first team involvement.
