ACL injury confirmed

Zagadou (knee) has been confirmed with a torn cruciate ligament after an MRI on Thursday, ending his season and ruling him out for several months with a recovery expected to keep him sidelined well into next campaign, according to Benjamin Quarez of Le Parisien.

Analysis: Zagadou had been unable to walk off the training pitch on Wednesday, and the scan delivered the worst possible news for one of the most exciting young defenders to emerge in Ligue 1 this season. The 17-year-old had established himself in coach Didier Digard's group with five starts since late January and earned two France U19 caps, making this a devastating blow for a player who had been one of Le Havre's genuine revelations this campaign. With a recovery estimated around nine months, Zagadou will miss the remainder of this season and the opening stages of the 2026/27 campaign as well.

Suffers injury in training

Zagadou (ankle/knee) was forced to leave training and return to the dressing room unable to walk on Wednesday, leaving his availability for Sunday's clash against Metz seriously in doubt, according to INFOS HAC.

Analysis: Zagadou suffered what seemed to be a significant injury in team training Wednesday and while the exact nature of the injury remains unclear with no official communication yet from the club, the sight of Zagadou unable to walk off the pitch is a deeply concerning sign heading into the weekend. His potential absence is a major blow for Le Havre given that he was expected to start in the back line to cover for the suspended Arouna Sangante, leaving coach Didier Digard potentially short of defensive options. If Zagadou cannot go, Digard may be forced to revert to a back four setup and bring in an additional midfielder against the Grenats rather than maintain his usual defensive structure.
