Yan Diomande

Analysis: Diomande took a single shot and put a single accurate cross in, but did little else during Tuesday's elimination. The winger has been one of the most sought after in Europe throughout the summer, and is now being linked to PSG, but he struggled in the final match of the World Cup. He was unable to really get involved, and the times he did he was wasteful. Diomande now faces an uncertain club future as he returns to Leipzig.

Analysis: Diomande would start the third group stage match for the Ivory Coast, not having started in all three games for the nation. He would finally earn his first goal contribution of the tournament as well, finding Nicolas Pepe in the seventh minute for the opener. The assist comes as a well-deserved goal contribution for the young attacker, now with three shots, seven crosses and 10 chances created in his World Cup campaign.
