Needs time to adapt to EPL intensity
Yohanna (undisclosed) played just 12 minutes in the Premier League opener against Aston Villa and had a small issue that kept him out of the Leeds match, according to coach Fabian Hurzeler, who said it comes down to adapting to the intensity of the league and that he will be given time until after the international break, per The Argus.
Analysis: Yohanna recently completed a permanent move to Brighton on a five year deal after a productive spell at AIK, where he contributed five goals and four assists across 18 appearances in all competitions. His limited introduction so far reflects the club's gradual approach to easing him into English soccer, with a fuller role expected once he has had more time to adjust.
Completes Brighton switch
Yohanna has completed a permanent transfer to Brighton on a five-year deal, the club announced Saturday.
Analysis: Several clubs were keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old winger, but Brighton won the race and signed him to a deal until the summer of 2031. Yohanna spent the 2025 season in the Swedish Allsvenskan playing for AIK, where he notched five goals and four assists across 18 appearances in all competitions.
