Signs extension through 2031

Macia has extended his contract with Villarreal through June 2031, a two-year extension from his previous deal that ran to 2029, the club announced.

Analysis: Macia is a 17-year-old midfielder regarded as one of the top prospects in Villarreal's academy and is currently training with the first team in preseason. He spent last season with Villarreal B in Primera Federacion under David Albelda, making 25 appearances, and also made his senior debut on December 6, 2025, coming off the bench in a 2-0 La Liga win over Getafe. He went on to make five first-team appearances across all competitions, including one in the Copa del Rey. He is also a Spain youth international, having represented the U19s. Villarreal highlight his reading of the game and physical attributes as key strengths, allowing him to bring balance to the side, build play from deep, and win back possession defensively.
