Makes two tackles
Jakobs registered five crosses (zero accurate) and two tackles in Wednesday's 3-2 loss against Belgium.
Analysis: Jakobs delivered an active performance in Wednesday's R32 loss to Belgium, sending in five crosses, making two tackles, and completing passes at an 81 percent accuracy while operating up and down the flank. His second World Cup campaign ends in heartbreaking fashion, finishing the tournament logging in 220 minutes across the tournament, winning 10 duels, recording five tackles and five clearances, and contributing to one clean sheet.
Sends seven crosses in win
Jakobs registered one shot off target, seven crosses (one accurate) and six corners in Friday's 5-0 win against Iraq. He also notched one tackle and one clearance.
Analysis: Jakobs was one of several players who moved into the starting lineup for this match, and he was a constant threat going forward with seven crosses. He offers similar attacking upside than the regular starter at left-back, El Hadji Malick Diouf, so it remains to be seen who will get the nod if Senegal are able to progress into the knockout stages as one of the best third-place teams.
