Signs with Trabzonspor
Salah signed a two year contract with Trabzonspor after departing Liverpool as a free agent, the club announced.
Analysis: Salah leaves Liverpool after nine seasons, during which he made 442 appearances, scoring 257 goals and adding 123 assists across all competitions while winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. His departure comes a year after helping Liverpool win the league title with 29 goals and 18 assists, though his form dipped last season as he managed just seven league goals in 27 appearances, his first campaign failing to reach double digits at the club. The 34-year-old started all five of Egypt's matches at this summer's World Cup, coming close to reaching the quarterfinals before a late collapse against Argentina. Salah is expected to become a key attacking option for Trabzonspor, who finished third in the Super Lig last season and won the Turkish Cup.

Salah recorded one corner in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Argentina.
Analysis: Salah was not all that effective against Argentina as he was mainly phased out of the match outside of a few counterattacks, only leading the winger to one corner taken, not earning a shot or chance created. He then ends his World Cup starting in all five of their games, notching one goal on nine shots and two assists on 16 chances created. This gives him three World Cup goals in his career, potentially all that he will see, as he is 34 and may not appear at the 2030 World Cup.
