Analysis: Nicolas was solid for most of the match, keeping his side in the contest with six saves. However, he did let in a late winner which ultimately undid most of his great work. He will likely face similar bombardment again when he faces Freiburg, a team which had 51 goals in Bundesliga a year ago and is at the top of the league table to start this season.
Concedes three in season debut

Analysis: Nicolas allowed a goal in the first half and two in the second as Gladbach dropped all three points Saturday.
