Undisputed starter for Alaves
Tenaglia has started all seven of Alaves's matches in 2026/27 and has scored one goal in the opener against Getafe.
Analysis: Tenaglia remains a fixture in central defense for Alaves and continues to serve as one of the team's captains under manager Quique Sanchez Flores. He has been ever present so far this season, and there is no indication his workload will change barring injury or suspension. He projects as a season-long lock in the back line. Tenaglia contributed one goal, six shots, 12 tackles, 10 interceptions and an impressive 30 clearances across 585 minutes.
Strong defensively in clean sheet
Tenaglia generated one cross (zero accurate) and two tackles in Friday's 1-0 victory over Villarreal.
Analysis: Tenaglia turned in a standout defensive performance against a difficult Villarreal attack, contributing three interceptions, five clearances and two tackles as his side secured back to back home clean sheets. Across his last three games, the center back has racked up 18 clearances, five interceptions and six tackles (five won), attempting two tackles in each outing.
