Sent on loan
Nunez has been loaned to Espanyol from Celta Vigo, according to his parent club.
Analysis: Nunez is on his way out of Celta for the season, as he was going to struggle for time, joining Espanyol for the season with an option to purchase. He spent all of last season on loan between Valencia and Verona, playing in 13 games (10 starts) with Valencia, and 17 appearances (15 starts) with Verona. He should be a useful veteran option for Espanyol as they try to be more than a midtable team, likely to be more of a rotational option.
Back with Celeste
Nunez will return to parent club Celta Vigo following the conclusion of his loan spell at Valencia, according to Superdeporte.
Analysis: Nunez made 13 La Liga appearances and logged 912 minutes after joining in the winter transfer window, contributing defensive cover at a time when Valencia needed reinforcement. The center-back now heads back to Celta Vigo after a solid if unspectacular cameo at Mestalla.
