Analysis: Stiller replaced Aleksandar Pavlovic at halftime after his midfield partner was booked for serious foul play just before the break, entering with Germany locked at 1-1 following Enner Valencia's early equalizer. He chipped in with one tackle and one interception while helping Germany dictate possession for much of the second half, but couldn't stop Ecuador from finding the winner in the 77th minute as Gonzalo Plata finished off Kevin Rodriguez's flicked header. The 2-1 defeat wrapped up Germany's group-stage campaign, though manager Julian Nagelsmann's squad had already secured its place in the Round of 32 before kickoff.
