Diagnosed with thigh injury
Badiashile suffered a medium-grade right rectus femoris strain versus Roma, Napoli announced.
Analysis: Badiashile is dealing with a significant muscular problem that could sideline him for six to eight weeks. He has started in three of the last four matches, but Napoli could switch back to a scheme featuring fewer defenders, with Amir Rrahmani and Rafa Marin at the top of the pecking order, backed up by Sam Beukema and Luca Marianucci.
Forced off with apparent injury
Badiashile was forced off with an apparent injury in the 51st minute of Saturday's Serie A match against Roma and was replaced by Sam Beukema.
Analysis: Badiashile was forced off with an apparent injury early in the second half against Roma, which is a setback just as he was starting to get regular minutes. He will be assessed, and the extent of the problem should become clearer once Napoli have examined him. The centre-back had been coping well alongside Rafa Marin in a back line already without Amir Rrahmani, who missed the match with a flu-like illness.
