Remains third-choice keeper
Benda has yet to feature in a competitive match for Nottingham Forest since his August transfer from Feyenoord.
Analysis: Benda arrived as depth insurance between the posts and sits third in line behind Matz Sels and John, leaving him without a route to regular minutes barring injuries above him. He has not been included in a matchday squad for a Premier League fixture so far this season. His path forward depends entirely on Forest's other two goalkeepers staying healthy.
Signs one year deal with Forest
Benda signed a one year contract with Nottingham Forest, with an option for a further year, joining from Fulham, according to the club.
Analysis: Benda spent the past three seasons at Fulham, including two loan spells last season, first at Championship side Millwall for six months before moving to Feyenoord in the Eredivisie for the second half of the campaign. The 27 year old German goalkeeper, who came through Swansea City's academy and made his Championship debut in 2020, now joins Forest to add depth to the goalkeeping group.
Back with Fulham
Benda has returned to Fulham from his loan with Millwall.
Analysis: Benda is back in Fulham for the second half of the season, with the goalie back from his loan spell in the Championship. He would make 10 appearances while on loan, recording three clean sheets during that span. He is likely to meet another loan or serve as a backup, not likely for time with his parent club.
