Quiet in win
Araujo generated one shot (one on goal) in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Brighton.
Analysis: Araujo got the start and was calm and assured in the backline yet again, earning another clean sheet. He's been a revelation since coming to Liverpool, a brilliant option at center-back and right-back. This is yet another clean sheet for Araujo, who seems to be gelling brilliantly with the rest of a stout Liverpool defense.
Scores in 45-minute outing
Araujo scored one goal from one shot (one on goal) and delivered three crosses (zero accurate) during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Villarreal. He was subbed off at halftime, but it was confirmed by manager Andoni Iraola that he's OK and that he "was feeling uncomfortable following all the way".
Analysis: Araujo leveled the scoring through a close-range header during an intense first half against Villarreal, and he also managed four ball recoveries during his time on the pitch. He has been deployed at right-back lately, though he hasn't completed a full game since Sept. 20, with his playing time constantly managed. Still, the goal was his third direct contribution in the current UCL campaign, where he has found opportunities to show his aerial strength even at the highest level of competition.
