Beaten twice in Real Madrid clash
Martinez recorded six saves and allowed two goals in Tuesday's 2-1 loss versus Real Madrid.
Analysis: Martinez had a very mixed day on goal, as he gave up a silly goal by trying to take Federico Valverde on in the box. However, he pulled off a few monster saves afterward, preventing the score from getting out of hand. His starting job isn't in jeopardy at this stage, but Ivan Provedel could start getting some opportunities. He has kept one clean sheet, surrendered five goals and made eight saves in four tilts. Up next, Inter will face Udinese away Monday.

Martinez registered six saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 3-2 win against Napoli.
Analysis: Martinez put in a great performance despite the goals conceded as the intensity of the match put his shot-stopping skills to the test. The six saves represent his highest mark in league play since February 2024, when he was still playing for Genoa. With three successive starts at the beginning of the season, he looks settled as Inter's new starting goalkeeper over Ivan Provedel, recording eight saves and one clean sheet so far. Up next is a tough double game week with a UCL trip to Real Madrid coming before the next Serie A match against Udinese.
