Adrià Pedrosa
Makes first start for Rayo
Pedrosa had two shots (one on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 3-2 win over Racing Santander.
Analysis: Pedrosa made his first start since joining Rayo on loan and put together a strong performance at left back. He recorded four crosses and took two shots on the attack, providing a nice outlet on the attack on the left side. He also won three duels, one tackle and made one clearance on the defensive end, putting forth a strong 75 minutes before he was replaced by Ivan Balliu.
Loaned to Rayo Vallecano
Pedrosa will spend the rest of the 2026/27 season on loan at Rayo Vallecano from Sevilla, who made the transaction official Thursday.
Analysis: Pedrosa has been a useful left-back with attacking projection for both Sevilla and Elche over the last few years, but he failed to earn a regular role during his last loan spell with the latter of those teams. He did score one goal and one assist over 26 league appearances (eight starts) in 2025/26 while boosting his creative output with occasional corner kicks. His role at the Vallecano side remains to be defined, but he should be expected to contend for the spot currently occupied by Jozhua Vertrouwd.
Returning to Sevilla
Pedrosa has returned to Sevilla after his loan at Elche concluded at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Analysis: Pedrosa alternated in the XI for Elche in 2025/26, making eight starts out of 26 appearances for the Franjiverdes. Pedrosa will fight with Oso and Gabriel Suazo for a role on Sevilla's left side of the defense in 2026/27 as long as he's not loaned out once again.
Subbed in on Sunday
Pedrosa generated one clearance in Sunday's 1-0 win versus Getafe.
Analysis: Pedrosa replaced Andre Silva in the 66th minute and recorded eight touches and four passes. Pedrosa has now come off the bench for back-to-back appearances and has only started eight of his 26 appearances this campaign.
