Suffers cruciate ligament injury
Dallinga suffered a cruciate ligament injury in Saturday's friendly against Viktoria Koln and will be sidelined for several months, the club announced.
Analysis: Dallinga is facing several months on the sidelines after a cruciate ligament injury in Saturday's friendly, a cruel setback for a striker who had settled quickly since joining on loan from Bologna in August. He scored twice off the bench on his Bundesliga debut and has started the last two games. The forward could struggle to feature again before the latter stages of the season. Koln are also without Ragnar Ache for now because of a muscle problem, which leaves them short of centre-forward options. with Marius Bulter the primary candidate.
Leaves friendly with knee issue
Dallinga was forced off before the half-hour mark of Saturday's friendly against FC Viktoria Koln after appearing to sustain a knee injury and is now headed to the Mediapark Clinic for further examination.
Analysis: Dallinga was forced off before the half-hour mark of Saturday's friendly against FC Viktoria Koln after appearing to take a blow to his knee, with the possibility of a painful bruise mentioned but the exact nature of the issue still unclear pending further examinations. The striker had started each of Koln's last two matches, making the uncertainty around his status particularly significant, especially with direct replacement Ragnar Ache also forced off in the same game. If both forwards are unavailable, Marius Bulter could be the main alternative up front.
