Manu Hernando

Defensive Anchor

Manu delivered a consistent campaign for Racing Santander in La Liga2, making 25 appearances including 23 starts and contributing one goal and two assists alongside 16 tackles, 23 interceptions and 148 clearances across 1,955 minutes of action.

Analysis: Manu was a dependable presence at center-back throughout the promotion campaign, bringing the defensive solidity and aerial dominance needed to anchor the backline across a demanding season. His 148 clearances in particular reflect a defender who takes ownership of his penalty area and makes the decisive interventions when they matter most. The step up to La Liga will present a significant challenge, but his consistent performances and defensive output throughout the season give Racing confidence that he can compete at the highest level of Spanish football next season.
