Struggles again in Frosinone game
Muric had six saves and one clearance and allowed four goals in Friday's 4-2 loss to Frosinone.
Analysis: Muric had two blunders by coming out of the goal aggressively without getting to the ball, paving the way for two easy goals. He still has the coach's trust, but Stefano Turati could soon get some chances. He has allowed 14 goals and made 32 saves in seven tilts, with no clean sheets. Up next, Sassuolo will face Como away next Saturday.
Five saves in 1-1 draw
Muric recorded five saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus AC Milan.
Analysis: Muric came back from the international break with some injury worries and was able to make five saves to keep Milan limited to one goal. This came after a spell of three games in a row in which he had conceded two goals. This was also the third game of the season that saw him make five or more saves.
Starts against Milan
Muric recorded five saves while allowing one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw against AC Milan.
Analysis: Muric was back in the starting XI for Sassuolo Sunday following some injury concerns, recording a decent performance despite the goal allowed with his five saves. He remains without a clean sheet this season, but has recorded at least three saves in each match this campaign, still seeing some success.
Available for Milan game
Muric "was dealing with a muscular problem near his knee, but he was potentially an option for Bosnia and is fine for Sunday," coach Alberto Aquilani stated.
Analysis: Muric avoided substantial problems and should continue starting, as the gaffer stated he wanted to have continuity in the role, even though he's had a couple of gaffes already, and Stefano Turati has also been a regular in the recent past. He's searching for his first clean sheet, while he has given up nine goals and made 21 saves in five matches.
Subs off during Nations League game
Muric left Sunday's match versus Austria at the 66th minute after crashing into an opponent, Tuttomercatoweb reported.
Analysis: Muric got hurt while trying to avoid a goal and was in too much discomfort to continue. He'll soon undergo exams to determine whether he'll report back to Sassuolo early and assess what kind of injury he suffered. Stefano Turati would step in against Milan on October 11 if needed.
Beaten twice in Monza match
Muric had four saves and one clearance and allowed two goals in Friday's 2-1 defeat versus Monza.
Analysis: Muric had a blunder on Monza's first goal, as he failed to properly corral a routine header, and it went in after bouncing off the post. He then conceded on a PK. He had been fine but not spectacular until this match. He relinquished the starting job to Stefano Turati a couple of times last season, so he'll have to avoid further gaffes. He has given up nine goals and made 21 saves in the first five rounds. Up next, Sassuolo will host Milan on October 10.
Makes six saves
Muric recorded six saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 3-2 win over Juventus.
Analysis: Muric was kept busy throughout the contest and made six saves as Sassuolo secured a dramatic victory, denying Juventus several times before Edon Zhegrova beat him twice during the closing stages. His work earlier in the match helped keep Sassuolo in position to claim all three points when Vasilije Adzic struck the late winner. Muric has made 17 saves while conceding seven goals without a clean sheet through four Serie A appearances this season. He'll next face Monza in league play.
Three saves in 2-2 draw
Muric recorded three saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Bologna.
Analysis: Muric made three saves as Saussuolo drew 2-2 with Bologna. The second goal he conceded came in the 91st minute and disappointingly left them with only one point instead of three. He has made at least three saves in all three games so far this season, but is still waiting on his first clean sheet of the season.
Concedes one against Torino
Muric made three saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Torino.
Analysis: Muric had a decent match but still couldn't keep the clean sheet with his three saves, allowing a lone goal in the win. He has now allowed three goals in two matches this season, still in search of a clean sheet. He will face Bologna on Sept. 6, a team that failed to score in their opener.
Concedes twice in opener
Muric made five saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Atalanta.
Analysis: Muric conceded two goals in Sunday's opener, including Nikola Krstovic's winner in the 65th minute. He faced seven shots on target, making five saves in the loss. Next up is the home opener versus Torino on Saturday.
Joins Sassuolo permanently
Muric signed permanently with Sassuolo after the Italian club exercised their purchase option following his loan spell, departing Ipswich for an undisclosed fee, the club announced.
Analysis: Muric made 32 appearances for Sassuolo during the 2025-26 season on loan, impressing enough for the club to make the move permanent. The goalkeeper recorded 119 saves, six clean sheets and conceded 43 goals, establishing himself as a reliable presence between the posts throughout the campaign. The 27-year-old Kosovan had joined Ipswich from Burnley in the summer of 2024 and made 19 appearances for the club before heading to Italy on loan.
Beaten twice in defeat
Muric made two saves and allowed two goals in Friday's 2-1 loss versus Torino.
Analysis: Muric logged two saves in Friday's 2-1 loss at Torino, including a quick-reaction stop off Nikola Vlasic's corner in the second half when Gvidas Gineitis rattled the crossbar twice from point-blank range, but he was picked apart on Giovanni Simeone's header in the 67th minute and Marcus Pedersen's back-post finish in the 71st minute. He had little to no shot on either goal given the pinpoint service from Enzo Ebosse and Duvan Zapata that set up both chances. Muric got the nod with Stefano Turati (illness) sidelined, but he's expected to slide back into a backup role after losing his grip on the starting job over the previous three matches.
