Inks deal with Lyon
Nakamura has completed a transfer to Lyon from Reims.
Analysis: Nakamura is on the move this season but will not go far, returning to Ligue 1 play as the attacker joins Lyon after a successful spell with Reims. He is coming off a World Cup starting role with Japan and a solid 2025/26 campaign in Ligue 2, earning 14 goals and two assists in 29 appearances. This comes after he was solid in the 2024/25 season as well, notching 11 goals and two assists despite Reims' relegation. He will now look to compete for starting time as a versatile attacker, although the likes of Lois Openda, Ernest Numah, Kail Boudache and Julien Duranville are all also bidding for time.
