Signs with Besiktas

Trossard is completing a move to Besiktas from Arsenal, the club announced.

Analysis: Trossard has been linked with a move away from Arsenal throughout the summer and it seems it's finally come to fruition. The winger will join the Turkish side as a big part of their starting XI. He played a large role last season, scoring and assisting six times each in 21 appearances (21 starts) during Arsenal's title triumph.

Struggles in World Cup exit

Trossard registered two clearances in Friday's 2-1 loss versus Spain.

Analysis: Trossard was not at his best against Spain, and ultimately failed to do too much before he was taken off the field in the 60th minute, not earning a single shot or chance created. This comes despite a solid few games ahead of the quarterfinals, as he was on a three-game run of having a goal contribution. He then ends his World Cup starting in all six appearances, notching two goals on 17 shots and two assists on 17 chances created.
