Departs with injury Tuesday
Vanaken exited Tuesday's UCL match against Aston Villa due to an apparent thigh injury.
Analysis: Vanaken felt something on the back of his leg and asked to be subbed off midway through the second half. Further tests will be needed to determine the extent of the problem, and it remains to be seen whether the Belgium international will be available to face Inter Milan on Oct. 13 in Week 2 of the UCL league phase.
