Suffers toe injury

Svilar "sustained a stress fracture in one of his toes and will be out for about a month," coach Gian Piero Gasperini announced.

Analysis: Svilar picked up the injury in training and is debating with the team doctors whether to insert a screw, which would prolong the timetable. Pierluigi Gollini will step in between the sticks, while Devis Vasquez will serve as the deputy in the upcoming matches.

Makes three saves in draw

Svilar had three saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Inter Milan.

Analysis: Svilar produced an elite display against Inter Milan even as Roma surrendered a commanding position. The goalkeeper registered three saves, including a crucial one-on-one stop, and could do little about either goal that beat him. Conceding twice marks the first time he has allowed multiple goals in a match this season, following a superb run of three clean sheets and just two goals conceded across his previous five outings in all competitions. Roma return to action against Como on Oct.11 following the international break.
