Hugo Duro
VAL
Scoreless drought continues
Duro had three shots (zero on goal) in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Athletic.
Analysis: Duro looked active in the attacking third, but despite tallying multiple shots for the third time in his last four league outings, he couldn't find the back of the net. The striker has been enjoying a bigger role of late due to the absence of Umar Sadiq (hamstring), but even expanded playing time has not helped him score his first goal of the season. Sadiq is close to returning from injury, but Duro should stay in the XI for Saturday's home match against Villarreal.
Bags assist
Duro assisted once to go with three shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Real Sociedad.
Analysis: Duro would see a decent outing in Sunday's loss, with the attacker bagging an assist in the 57th minute when finding Aaron Mayol. This is the attacker's first goal contribution of the season, coming after seven appearances (three starts) this season. He will look to chase down his 10-goal contributions from last season, although that will be tough unless he sees regular time again.
Scores with lone shot
Duro scored a goal with his lone shot while creating a chance during Sunday's 4-3 win over Real Sociedad.
Analysis: Duro found the back of the net in the 22nd minute scoring Valencia's second goal. The goal was the first since March 21st for the forward as he's combined for three shots and two chances created over his last three starts.
