Gutierrez signed with Bayer Leverkusen through June 2031 after departing Napoli, the club announced.
Analysis: Gutierrez came through Real Madrid's academy, winning the UEFA Youth League in 2020 with a goal in the final, and made his first team debut in 2021 before winning both the Spanish league title and the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2021-22, making four appearances during that double winning run. He later moved to Napoli via Girona, making 36 appearances last season as the Italian club finished as Serie A runners-up. Gutierrez is expected to add creativity and attacking threat down the left flank for Leverkusen.
