Alfonso Pedraza
Assists off bench
Pedraza assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Monza.
Analysis: Pedraza came off the bench against Monza and laid on the third goal for Andrea Pinamonti, his first assist since joining Lazio. The left back has been limited to cameo appearances since starting the opening game of the season, with Nuno Tavares in fine form ahead of him, and that looks unlikely to change in the short term even after a positive outing.
Heads to Lazio
Pedraza has agreed to a three-year contract with Lazio after leaving Villarreal as a free agent.
Analysis: Pedraza departed Villarreal after a five-season run and notched four assists, 103 crosses (25 accurate) and 46 tackles in 32 appearances (22 starts) in 2025/2026, scoring once and contributing to two clean sheets. He'll be the top option at left-back if Nuno Tavares exits the club in the coming weeks, as rumored.
Struggles in service
Pedraza had seven crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Wednesday's 3-2 loss against Sevilla.
Analysis: Pedraza was not able to make an impact with his crossing, as only one of his seven balls in was considered accurate. He'll likely need to stay involved in the final third for Villarreal to score on Rayo Vallecano. The mid-table side has conceded just 43 times in 36 La Liga games.
Assists in Sunday's win
Pedraza assisted once to go with four crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus Celta Vigo. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 18th minute.
Analysis: Pedraza assisted Nicolas Pepe's strike in the 29th minute Sunday, a goal which gave Villarreal an early two-goal lead. It was the only chance he created in the contest and it marked his third assist of the season. He also recorded three interceptions, two clearances and one tackle before he was subbed off in the 78th minute for Sergi Cardona.
