Four clearances in loss
Krejci registered one tackle (zero won) and four clearances in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Mexico.
Analysis: Krejci captained Czechia in Wednesday's 3-0 World Cup loss to Mexico, going the full 90 minutes at the heart of the defense as his side pushed for the result they needed to keep their tournament alive. After finding the net against South Korea in Czechia's opening group match, he was unable to spark another response as Mexico pulled away with two second-half goals before the hour mark to put the game out of reach. Krejci finished with one tackle and four clearances as Czechia bowed out of the World Cup at the group stage, ending the campaign at the bottom of Group A.
Permanent move confirmed
Krejci has had his loan move from Girona to Wolves made permanent, with the Czech center-back appearing on the club's retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, the club announced.
Analysis: Krejci made 28 appearances for Wolves this season, contributing two goals and one assist, with the permanent transfer now triggered as he signs a four-year contract until 2030. The Czech center back brings nearly 250 career appearances and a reputation as a leader and penalty specialist, having previously captained Sparta Prague to back-to-back league titles, and is currently away with Czech Republic at the World Cup as the Wolves' first-ever Czech signing looks to continue his development in the Championship.
