Raoul Bellanova
ATA
Sprightly on the flank versus Cagliari
Bellanova had three clearances, one interception and five crosses (zero accurate) and won two of three tackles in Saturday's 2-1 loss against Cagliari.
Analysis: Bellanova frequently sprinted down the wing, but he was rather poor in service, despite notching a new season high in deliveries. He has played two full games in a row over Davide Zappacosta. He has tallied six crosses (zero accurate), four tackles and 11 clearances in three displays, with no clean sheets or goal contributions.
Solid in the back versus Roma
Bellanova created one scoring chance and had eight clearances, two interceptions, two blocks and one tackle (Zero won) in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus Roma.
Analysis: Bellanova drew his first Serie A start over Davide Zappacosta and racked up defensive stats as he was under pressure, while he had to limit his runs on the other end because of the difficult matchup. Both right-backs have gotten opportunities early, considering that Atalanta also played in the Conference League playoff. He had logged just 12 minutes in his previous appearance, recording one block.
Modest output in Cagliari fixture
Bellanova drew two fouls and registered two crosses (zero accurate), one interception and two clearances in Monday's 3-2 loss versus Cagliari.
Analysis: Bellanova drew his second start in a row filling in for Lorenzo Bernasconi (knee), who might miss all the remaining matches, and provided some punch off the wing. He'll compete with Nicola Zalewski going forward. He has tallied seven crosses (two accurate), three tackles (two won) and three interceptions in his last five appearances (three starts).
