Dier assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Marseille.
Analysis: Dier delivered the assist on Paris Brunner's second goal, playing a lofted ball over Marseille's defense that the German latched onto before finishing clinically past Jeffrey De Lange. He also registered one shot and one chance created to go with an impressive 14 clearances across 90 minutes while helping anchor a Monaco back line alongside Sadibou Sane that kept a clean sheet against Marseille's best attacking efforts. Dier has now started both of Monaco's opening Ligue 1 fixtures and provided the decisive pass in a derby win that sends the Principality club top of the table.

Analysis: Dier headed in the opener in the 14th minute from a corner assisted by Flavio Nazinho. Dier registered 34 passes and also registered 10 clearances, one tackle and one block. He had featured only nine times and netted only once through the course of the last season and this performance is a positive sign of his involvement to come this season.
Trains fully in return
Dier trained in full during the first week of preseason and has cleared his ankle issue from the end of last season, the club posted.
Analysis: Dier's clean bill of health is a positive sign after an ankle knock limited him to just 15 minutes of action following his return from injury late last season. Dealing with ankle knock
Dier is ruled out of Sunday's season finale against Strasbourg due to a left ankle knock, according to the club.
