Forced off with foot injury
Sidibe (foot) was forced off in the 53rd minute of Sunday's 1-1 draw against Auxerre after suffering a knock to the top of his foot that left him unable to put weight on it, with further medical examinations scheduled to determine the severity of the injury, according to coach Patrick Videira.
Analysis: Sidibe suffered a concerning injury setback during Sunday's encounter against Auxerre after sustaining a painful knock to the top of his foot. The experienced defender was unable to continue beyond the 53rd minute and reportedly struggled to put his foot on the ground following the incident, raising concerns about a potentially significant injury. Before his withdrawal, Sidibe recorded two shots (none on target), one interception and one clearance. Further medical examinations will be necessary to determine the extent of the damage and establish whether he faces an extended spell on the sidelines. Noa Boisse could benefit from increased playing time in Le Mans' defensive rotation if Sidibe is forced to miss upcoming fixtures.
Available after suspension
Sidibe is available for Le Mans' next Ligue 1 fixture after serving his suspension during Saturday's clash against PSG.
Analysis: Sidibe returns to contention after missing the encounter against PSG due to a one-match suspension. The experienced defender has made just three Ligue 1 appearances since joining Le Mans as a free agent this summer, featuring primarily off the bench. His return provides additional defensive depth, although he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter at his new club.
