Ruled out with muscle injury
Honorat suffered a muscle injury in training and will miss the upcoming Bundesliga clash with Koln, with the Rheinische Post reporting that he is also at least doubtful for the following match against TSG Hoffenheim.
Analysis: Honorat picked up a muscle injury in training and will miss the meeting with Koln, while his availability for the subsequent game against TSG Hoffenheim is also in question. The setback comes at a particularly unfortunate time for the forward, who had started each of Borussia Monchengladbach's last three league matches and contributed two assists, giving him a growing role in Alexander Blessin's attack. Until more is known about the severity of the injury, Honorat's recovery will be monitored with his status for Hoffenheim remaining uncertain, and Wael Mohya or Shuto Machino could benefit from additional minutes on the right side of the attack.
Tallies two assists in start
Honorat assisted twice to go with one shot (zero on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 4-3 defeat against SV 07 Elversberg.
Analysis: Honorat did well in his return to the starting lineup, assisting on two of Monchengladbach's three goals. The midfielder has a good shot to assist against Freiburg, a team which has been solid defensively to start this year but did concede 57 goals in 2025-26.
