Struggles as deep midfielder

Silva struggled in his trial as a deep-lying midfielder before being pushed higher up the pitch during Saturday's friendly against Ferencvaros, according to coach Jose Mourinho, per Madrid Zone. "If he plays deeper, in the 6-8 position, he gives us a great outlet on the ball. Then, during the match, I understood he was lacking a bit of physical strength, so I moved him forward to the number 10 position and brought in Jorge Cestero to give a bit more stability there"
